1981:
W.J. Donovan, Inc holds the first ever Exhibitors Day in Natick, MA. This Exhibitors Day was a seminar with keynote speakers from all over the country with experience in the trade show industry. Exhibit houses and I&D companies and moving companies had their booths set up for review during break sessions. 125 marketing and communications personnel attended this event.

1981:
W. J. Donovan, Inc. constructs a new office and warehouse facility in Westboro, Massachusetts. At a ceremony in Boston, Governor Edward King recognizes W. J. Donovan, Inc. as one of twenty-five companies in the state, whose growth has contributed to the economic vitality of Massachusetts. W.J. Donovan, Inc. achieves the #1 agent status for sales in the Electronics & Trade Show Division for which it achieved 18 of the next 20 years.
